Better Men

What We're About

MISSION

The TKE Mission is to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life. Our mission is completed in numerous different ways at Pi-Xi. Older fraters often mentor younger fraters with similar majors or goals. In our big brother system, older members of the chapter are able to provide wisdom and guidance to our new members to help them understand the ropes of both College Life and the world beyond.

Big brothers can take what they have learned from their own big brother or life experiences, and pass the information and wisdom down to their littles. Alumni also actively engage with our chapter, offering scholarship, internship, and business opportunities, as well as being open to any questions asked by newer brothers in the bond.

PHILANTHROPY

With a diverse community of brothers comes a diverse upbringing with different experiences and positionalities. A pillar of our core values is charity which holds a deeper meaning within our chapter. Charity isn't simply the act of giving back but the understanding of where and when your time, patience, and love is needed.

St. Jude's is a foundation in which we hold dear to our hearts. Through our partnership, we as the men of Tau Kappa Epsilon have gained life experience that extends to public health awareness, volunteer service, and self-care practices that have allowed us to become better men for a better world.

PRINCIPLES

The TKE principles are Brotherhood, Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. Pi-Xi exemplifies these principles in many ways. We are always encouraging our members to take advantage of leadership opportunities, whether it be within the chapter, or out in the world.

Our scholarship chair helps rent out different study spaces on campus, and many times throughout the quarter fraters are reminded of the importance of scholarship and learning. We provide service for the community through our philanthropy chairs, who set up charitable events for St. Judes.

TKE Principles

SOCIAL

We strongly believe that social skills are one of the most important sets of skills on this Earth. Being able to put yourself out there can open many different opportunities, be it business or intra-personal, or just making the connections that make life a little sweeter.

Developing confidence, humility, and curiosity is important for every brother in the bond, and we practice this through the brotherhoods that we hold, through our connections with other fraternities and sororities on campus, as well as the many strangers we meet during our philanthropies.
